Renovating your kitchen is a great way to enhance your living space and even increase the value of your home. However, kitchen renovations can be a major project that you will want to prepare for in order for your daily life to be minimally interrupted. At Carolinas Custom Kitchen & Bath, we recommend that you do several things to prepare for the kitchen renovations in your home.
First, remove any pictures, mirrors, curtains, and any other decorations from your kitchen. Also, it is important that any hanging items on the walls that back up to your kitchen are also taken down so they don’t accidentally fall. Removing your decorative furnishings will ensure that these items stay in-tact and can be put up in your new kitchen once the renovation is done.
Second, get ready to go without a kitchen. Purchase disposable plates, cups, napkins, and move your fridge to an area of your home where you will have easy access to it during the renovation. Set up a mini-kitchen in your home away from the renovation area that is stocked with your most regularly-used kitchen appliances so you can prepare food easily.
Lastly, cover any furniture that has to remain in your kitchen or near your kitchen with plastic coverings, and do the same for any floors or carpets that the workers will regularly have to walk on.
At Carolina’s Custom Kitchen and Bath Center, we are known throughout Mooresville, Lake Norman, and Lake Wylie, North Carolina for our kitchen renovations. We promise that with a little preparation and our help, your kitchen will become your favorite room in the house!
